The main goal of the Department of Electricity in the field of improving the quality of educational services is the implementation of educational activities at a level that provides consumers of education with services that meet state standards. The implementation of educational programs for the preparation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students is provided by scientific and pedagogical personnel with basic education corresponding to the profile of the disciplines taught and systematically engaged in scientific and educational activities.

Department history

In 1966 in the city of Kustanai, the Kustanai branch of the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute was organized, which began training specialists with higher agricultural education - agronomists and zooengineers. The department of agricultural mechanization was created to teach engineering disciplines in the indicated specialties. The leading teacher of electrical disciplines at this department was Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Chernyshev V.I., he also created the first laboratories in electrical engineering and the use of electrical energy in agriculture. In March 1978, on the basis of the Kustanai branch of the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute, the Kustanai Agricultural Institute was organized, in which in 1979 the faculty of agricultural mechanization was established. The teaching of electrical disciplines (electrical engineering, automation, the use of electricity in agriculture, etc.) was transferred to the Department of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. Also, on the basis of the department "Physics, general technical disciplines and drawing" created in June 1982, the department "General technical disciplines and physics" was formed. The head of the department was elected Ph.D., Professor Korman A.Kh. Professor Gallyamov R.M., associate professors Chenets V.N., Poezzhalov V.M., Zhulamanov K.R., Lyakhovetsky V.M. teachers: Sitnikova L.I., Kemeleva A.S., teachers: Yaufman M.D., Snitko L.V.

At different times, candidates of technical sciences in the field of electrical engineering worked at this department of mechanization and electrification of agriculture: Trotsenko A.A., Magomaev V.Yu., Selunsky V.V. and others. Their efforts created the main laboratories for electrical disciplines and automation of production processes. The main initiator of the opening at the faculty of electrical engineering was the first dean of the faculty of agricultural mechanization Deynega V.V.

The first enrollment of students for the specialty "Energy Supply of Agriculture" was made in 1991. The training program provided for the training of power engineers for agriculture.

Subsequently, the specialty was changed and became known as "Power supply and electrification of agriculture" (code 2104). The first department of the electrical profile was called "Electrification and automation of agriculture" (head of the department, Ph.D. Trotsenko A.A.), the department of "Hydro-thermal power engineering" was also organized at the faculty (head of the department, Ph.D. Deinega V.V.) where disciplines related to heat and water supply of agricultural consumers were taught. In 1996, along with the department "Electrification and automation of agriculture" (head of the department, candidate of technical sciences Magomaev V.Yu.), the department "Power supply of agriculture" was formed (head of the department, candidate of technical sciences Selunsky V .AT.). The first graduation of electrical engineers at the faculty took place in 1996. In 1997, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Utegulov Bolatbek Bakhytzhanovich, who previously worked as Vice-Rector for Science at Pavlodar State University, was hired at the Department of Power Supply of Agriculture.

On the initiative of Utegulov B.B., in January 1999, the departments "Electrification and automation of agriculture" and "Power supply of agriculture" were merged into one department - "Power supply and electrification of agro-industrial enterprises" (EEAPP), Utegulov B.B. headed the department . In January 2000, the Kostanay State University and the Kostanay Agricultural Institute were merged. This year, recruitment was made for two specialties of the electrical profile - "Power supply" (by industry), code 210440 and "Electrification and automation of agriculture", code 210540, in Russian and, for the first time, in the Kazakh language of instruction. In June 2001, in connection with the relocation of Utegulov B.B. to Pavlodar, Art. teacher Tkachenko V.V. In 2003, the first enrollment was made for the specialty 050718 - Electric Power Engineering at the Russian and Kazakh departments with the direction of training bachelor of electric power industry. In 2005, the Department of Power Supply and Electrification of Agro-Industrial Enterprises was renamed into the Department of Power Engineering, Ph.D. Tkachenko V.V.

The department has extensive experience of cooperation with the largest universities in Kazakhstan and Russia:
