Mechanical engineering is one of the modern technical areas of the industry, which is engaged in the production and repair of various machines and equipment, as well as the production of various metal products and structures.
Mechanical engineering engineer - develops, plans and organizes technological processes for assembling equipment and processing its parts, develops projects of technological machines and equipment, works with technological equipment, performs calculations when designing the shop layout at the enterprise.
In the course of training, students are taught a number of specialized disciplines: automation of technological processes in mechanical engineering, analysis of engineering systems, Big Dada analytics in mechanical engineering, hydro and pneumatic equipment of technological systems, engineering design in mechanical engineering, design and technological support of production, mechanics and machine parts.
The department has three levels of education: bachelor's degree, Master's degree and doctoral degree. The training of specialists is conducted in the state and Russian languages.
Thanks to the intergovernmental agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in the field of mechanical engineering, under which in June 2021 Аkhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University and Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Kazan Federal University (KFU) signed a memorandum of cooperation, students of our Аkhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University had the opportunity to receive targeted training for the machine-building industry of Kazakhstan.
Students undergo practical training at the leading enterprises of the region, which allows them to get acquainted with modern technologies for performing technical and service maintenance of cars: Saryarka AvtoProm LLP, KazNIIMESH CF LLP, Agromash Holding KZ JSC, Agrotechnmash LLP.

At the end you will be able to:
- Perform maintenance of technical devices intended for production activities;
- Perform a systematic check of the condition of machines and organize timely repairs;
- Carry out the development and execution of instructions for the use of equipment;
- Design new technical facilities, test them, put them into production;
- Analyze the initial information for the development and creation of new machinery;
- Monitor compliance with rules and regulations in the manufacture of new machines;
- Evaluate production costs, reduce costs while improving the overall quality of products.
